Just coming into the Upholstery Shop, are the seats from a 1970 Chevy Nova. The Nova will receive a completely new custom interior that includes new carpet, headliner, door panels, kick panels and the seats. A 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is going through the exact same interior renovation as the Nova. The Upholstery Shop has already finished the bench seats in Pacific Blue Vinyl (vegan leather). The Olds is at the Hot Rod Shop receiving several mechanical upgrades and a complete re-seal of its Turbo 400 transmission. A pair of bucket seats have been fully re-done in a viking theme that includes full custom embroidery on the headrests. Up on a lift at the Hot Rod Shop is a 1956 Ford F-1 pickup. It’s receiving a long list of mechanical upgrades, plus, the shop is relocating the gas tank from inside the cab to a much safer place under the rear of the bed. An old 1950 Dodge Hot Rod will soon be getting a freshly built 360 Dodge V-8 and a freshly built 727 Torqueflite 3 speed automatic transmission. On a personal note, l want to thank Marty at the Hot Rod Shop for wiring up my Chevy truck with a new camper to truck wiring harness. On October 30th the 9th Annual Gina’s Team Car, Bike & Truck Car Show will take place from 9:00am – 2:00pm in Mesa at the “What the Hell Bar & Grill’’ (7303 E. Main St.) Chris puts on this show in the memory of his daughter. He asked Marty to create some custom award trophies, which he did. These are all nice examples of the upholstery & interior work and of the Hot Rod type of work you can have done at AZ Hot Rod & Upholstery in Apache Junction AZ.
