Chuck’s Speed Center

H ere are three great examples of just some of the different types of work you can have done at Chuck’s Speed Center in Phoenix. The shop was just starting the final installation process of the General Motors LSA supercharged V-8 that their in-house machine shop fully rebuilt for this customer’s very-fast off-road sand rail. Some performance tuning on their in-house dyno facility will also take place when the full installation is completed. Up on one of the shop’s many lifts, is a 1970 Chevelle SS that will be receiving a major upgrade & transformation. A new GM Performance LS7 V-8 and  6L80E automatic overdrive transmission will provide plenty of power and drivability. All new RideTech front & rear coil-over suspension and Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners will enhance the ride and stopping. A complete new Vintage Air Gen 4 A/C system and a new Be-Cool aluminum radiator with twin electric fans will handle the car’s cooling. The 1962 yellow Corvette was Chuck’s personal and one of his favorite cars. Over the last few years, Chuck and several of the shop techs had seriously upgraded this car. It will remain in the family.
