Chuck’s Speed Center in Phoenix, has now been in business for 55 years, WOW!!! Their huge facility at 2923 W. Weldon Ave. just two blocks west from 27th Ave. is very impressive. On any given day you will see a wide variety of cool cars and trucks being worked on, from Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, Cudas, Challengers, Chevelles, Thunderbirds, C-10s, Vintage and Classic cars, you name it, it’s probably been there during those 55 years. Plus, they also specialize in repair and service of diesel pickup trucks and RV’s. Many of the vehicle owners are men, but every once in a while a true hard-core Car Gal brings her car in for service or performance upgrades. The 1964 Corvette shown here is owned by one of those ladies. This very unique Corvette is her pride and joy. The very experienced Chuck’s Speed Center tech’s are installing a complete new Wilwood front disc brake system. It’s also getting front suspension upgrades that include new springs, sway bars and new Ride Tech shocks. Plus, when it goes home, it will have a brand new Tremec TK X state-of-the-art 5 speed manual transmission and matching clutch.
