FAST Motorsports

FAST Motorsports is a relatively small general automotive and transmission shop in Apache Junction, Arizona, that also specializes in working on older cars and trucks. Well, their shop size has just increased by 2500 square feet when the adjoining shop became available in February. Parked out front is a 1966 Mercury Comet, that received a complete rebuild of its C-4 three speed automatic transmission, including a shift kit and a 2500 stall torque converter. While there, Harley also installed a new Weiand intake manifold, a new Edelbrock carburetor, some carb. linkage upgrades, new coil, new plugs and wires, set the timing, new rear shocks and new heavy duty Spicer U-Joints in the drive shaft. The not original 302 V-8 engine (289 was original) still had a bad vibration, at all RPM, so they are now installing a new harmonic balancer and flywheel. The Mercury will go back soon to have an aftermarket A/C system installed along with new gauges and a tachometer and maybe front disc brakes. A 1958 Chevy big block powered Hot Rod was fitted with a new transmission cooler set-up, new cylinder heads, new transmission cooler lines were all plumbed in and a new Ron Davis aluminum radiator will soon be fitted. FAST Motorsports works on modern daily driver vehicles every day, here are two recent examples: A 2010 Range Rover got new motor mounts, a new radiator and new valve cover gaskets. Up on a lift is a big 2006 Chevy Duramax diesel pickup truck. Its Allison superheavy duty transmission is receiving  a complete Stage II rebuild, that includes a triple-disc billet torque converter. I see some heavy duty towing in this truck’s future. These are four great examples of the older and newer vehicles that FAST Motorsports specializes in.
