Almost every day Rip’s Performance has driveshafts to custom build or rebuild or maybe just to spin-balance for their customers. Doing driveshafts is just one part of their business. They do mechanical work on a lot of different vehicles, but especially on 4×4 trucks, SUV’s and off-road vehicles. Suspension and differential repairs and upgrades are common happenings at Rip’s Performance. Two recent examples are shown here; A 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser is being fitted with new front and rear driveshafts. A 1990 Jeep CJ is getting new front axles and a new driveshaft. They do lots more too! The shop has done repairs on my open car trailer, from wiring to brakes and bearing replacement. They are also one of the leading circle track racing shops. They do race repairs, race maintenance and they build complete circle track race cars from scratch. Shown here under construction is a mid 1990’s Pontiac Sunfire coupe, that they are building into an IMCA Sport Compact dirt track race car. One of the cars they built and maintain is the IMCA Stock Car and IMCA Modified that Zach Madrid drives. 25 year old Zach is closing in on 100 Main Event victories, currently with an amazing 93 wins.
