The name kind of says it all, here are a few recent examples. A really nice 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop, received a complete rebuild of its three speed (on the column) manual transmission and a new replacement clutch as well. Sun West specializes in doing radiator rebuilds and gas tank restorations. The black gas tank shown is one that was fully restored from a 1974 Chevy Vega. Sometimes a transmission does not need to be rebuilt, that was the case on the green and black 1965 Chevy pickup truck. It turned out that a simple transmission fluid leak was the only repair required. In recent weeks the shop has done transmission rebuilds on a 1964 Chevy El Camino and the C-6 three speed automatic transmission from a 1966 Ford Galaxy.
